The impact that social media has on our lives is tremendous. Social medial is the new living, the new every day life. Social media has a positive and negative effect on lives. The positive effect of social media is that its quicker, its easy access, and its simple enough to do anything and or find anything you will ever need. The negative effect of social media is that it takes away from actually living and doing things physically. It seems as if technology is changing the way we are living and how much time of living. We tend to use it everyday and everyday it gets more advanced and there will be no more physical things for us as people to do anymore later on in the future.

Nicholas explains in this essay that about how rough labor standards can be. He states the problem is that "it’s like a vision on hell" saying that the way life is being lived is not worth nothing, but something to some people. People are trying so desperately to survive off of very little. His purpose of this essay is to get the reader to identify how people are actually considering sweatshops as a job and a safe escape out of poverty. He appeals to pathos by saying " a woman hopes her 10 years old boy, scavenging beside her grows up to get a factory job, because she has seen other kids get ran over by garbage trucks". Basically saying that some people don't have a choice of a better life, a factory job is what they only see as a real future for their families. Does violent media really help kids with what Gerard Jones calls "soul hood"? Maybe it helps some kids but for many it corrupts their mind. Gerard says" We send the message to our children in a hundred ways that their craving for imaginary gun battles and symbolic killings is wrong, or at least dangerous." Stating that violent media gives kids the wrong visual of how they view things in reality. Kids play violent media games for entertainment and actually take everything they see in the game literally. My 16 year old friend from High School has a game called Grand Theft Auto (GTO). He seems to enjoy the game very much, he plays it often. One day he took it upon himself to react to the game in a negative way. Based off of information some kids take things differently because of personal home experience. The Argument !

What I have learned about arguments is that they are obnoxious. They have different factors involved, most arguments are not verbal they are written. Arguments are not a disagreement between two people, they are more like trying to persuade a person on your opinion. Arguments could also be seen as contradictions. Arguments happen so frequently no matter where you go, you would catch them on TV, in a store, in a book, and even in your own house. When argumentation occur you have to actually have reasoning behind it to actually support your argument, otherwise it’s a statement based on your opinion with no action. In most of my high school English classes I have had formal arguments. To have a formal argument it has to be academic based verbally or written. Outside of school I have more informal arguments over the smallest things in the world. If you don’t have two debatable statements/opinions your argument won’t really be an argument.
